GRE study tips to improve your productivity

While studying for GRE you need to learn lots of strategies and techniques, memorize formulas and words, and practice as much as possible. All that stuff exhausts you significantly and your focus and productivity goes down. In this post will be presented few GRE study tips to help your mind working more efficiently during your GRE preps.

GRE Study Tip #1: Note down everything you learn

Whatever you learn try to note it on the paper, even if you never going use it again. Think of it like writing information into your brain, besides research confirms that people better remember things they’ve noted down. It actually shows your brain what’s important and what you need to focus on. So next time be it a new word or formula, or some shortcut method to solve/answer a question – write it down!

GRE Study Tip #2: Systematize everything

You need to systematize everything, whether it is writing notes or learning GRE words. When you do so you not only make it much simpler for you to memorize the stuff but also easier to find it whenever you need it again. Important thing to mention is scheduling your every prep day. Don’t just sit and read the prep book, page by page. You need to divide your prep time into parts for Verbal, Quantitative and if needed Essay-writing section of the test. You need to keep studying everything simultaneously, so on the test day you could be “in shape”.

GRE Study Tip #3: Keep focused

One of the major factors that impacts your productivity is focus. And it’s really hard to keep focused while studying, and especially if stuff is  boring! One quick trick will help you – change the study field every 15-30 minutes. For example, study GRE words for 20 minutes, then go search for some interesting stuff regarding GRE word studying strategies or read some scientific article that contains GRE words, then after 15 mins you can either get back to learning words or instead just switch your gear and try some GRE math. Of cause, you can vary the time and after some practice you’ll be able to stay focused longer.

GRE Study Tip #4: Study from the web

Research on memorizing from social media suggests that studying from web is much more easier and more interesting. So don’t hesitate to google for some stuff related to what you’re trying to learn. There’s a lot of GRE tips and strategies that can help you to crack your GRE and it’s fun!
